Question Time

Tell us about yourself! Where are you based?
And what location do you offer your service at?

A. I’m from Dundrum originally and have been living in Ranelagh the last six years. I setup theGardener.ie three years ago and initially serviced Dublin 6 exclusively however as the demand increased, we now cover all of South Dublin.

Q: What inspired you to get into the World of gardening?

A: I started when I was 12 because I wanted to earn my own money! That aside, I get a lot of satisfaction from improving a property and getting the best from it.

 

Q: Have you any advice to first time buyers in relation to garden space?


A: If the plan is to do work in the garden, try to add as much value as possible by using good, premium materials. Natrual stone for a patio vs. man-made.

Q: What packages/services do you offer?

A: Gardening as a Service would be the most popular service customers avail off. GasS is a quarterly contract with a number of visits assigned, depending on the standard the customer would like to keep their property at. Normally, sessions every two weeks is enough to maintain it at a very high standard. We also offer chemical cleaning and stone restoration services which deliver amazing results

Q: What's your favourite thing about your job?

A: Working outdoors, there is nothing quite like it, even in the rain.

A: Spring – its when the gardens wake up and come to life.

 

Q: What are your tips for to keep our gardens in order?


A: Register for a plan on theGardener.ie and then you can relax.

 

Q: What are your pros and cons on small garden Vs Large Garden?


A: Small gardens require less maintenance and easier to stay on top off. Larger gardens can quickly get out of control if you don’t have the ability or budget to maintain them.
